Daniel McVicar celebrates in Torino with Thanksgiving Benefit

Daniel McVicar
Thanksgiving Day is a very important holiday for Americans. It is where families gather to celebrate abundance and share the food and the good will. Traditionally all gather around a classic turkey, with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and the good food that is brought by the family to the meal.
This comes from the real events in 1623, where the pilgrims who came across on the Mayflower and many died on the way and during the first year. After making friendships with the Native Americans, a group of Pilgrims survived and thrived with the next harvest. Thanksgiving is a sharing of that harvest, and thanking God for all his good gifts.
Daniel McVicar has spent much time in Italy, which has become his second home. This will be his sixth Thanksgiving spent looking for pumpkin pie, and wanting to share the holiday with his friends.
He decided that this year he wanted to take his gratitude and share it in a real way, and along with his fiance Dr. Virginia De Agostini, is creating the “Thanks Dinner” in Turin to benefit the Servizi Vincenziani and their good wok helping the needy, and serving up an incredible 800 meals a day in Turin.
